The Shai Ones

In the year 1348, a plague has infested a small, desolate village hidden in a deep, dark wood. Alistair Drake, the last remaining plague doctor in the village, discovers that his brother caught the sickness and vows to find a cure to save him. However, the priest of the village, Father Salvador, does not trust such a remedy and orders Alistair to cease his research. Alistair disobeys wanting to save his brother and the village by any means necessary. With the help of his niece, Vivian Drake, they enter the woods in search of ingredients for their cure. With time running out for his brother, tension brewing with the church, and hope wearing thin, the doctor doubts his ability to find a cure after all. All he needs is a little help… and the forest will be sure to do just that for him.
